Certificate of Occupancy and Certificate of Completion
A Certificate of Occupancy confirms a new building or space is safe to use. A Certificate of Completion closes out permitted work that doesn't need one, like a shell building or a remodel. Without the right certificate you may not be able to move in, open, sell or insure. We get your final inspections passed and the certificate issued.
Who this is for
- New construction and additions
- Tenant build-outs and shell buildings
- Owners whose certificate was never issued for past work
- Projects that need as-built certification letters to close

Questions we hear
Can I get a temporary certificate?
Some jurisdictions issue a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy so you can occupy while minor items are finished. We'll tell you if it's an option for your project.
What's an as-built certification letter?
A letter from a licensed professional confirming the work was built as shown on the approved plans or meets code. Building departments often ask for one to close out a permit.
My building never got a Certificate of Occupancy. Is that fixable?
Usually. We research what was permitted and inspected, then close the gaps so the certificate can be issued.
